Ambassador Janis Karklins currently is Ambassador at Large on UN Global Agenda with responsibilities in cyber and climate diplomacy. He also has served as the Permanent Representative of Latvia to the Council of Europe, the Permanent Representative of Latvia to the United Nations at Geneva (twice), Latvian Ambassador to France, Andorra, Monaco and UNESCO, the Director of the NATO Center of Excellence for Strategic Communications, as well as the Assistant Director General of Communication and Information of UNESCO.
Prof.dr. Almir Badnjević
Director
Almir Badnjević was born in 1986 in Bosanska Krupa, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He received his Ph.D. from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing Zagreb(FER), University of Zagreb in 2015. Since 2008, he has been working in two spheres, business and academia. He established one of the most equipped laboratories for testing and verification of medical devices in Europe, the Verlab laboratory. In his academic career, since 2015, he has been working as head of the Department of Genetics and Bioengineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Natural and Medical Sciences, International Burch University. In 2022, he became a regular member of the International Academy of Sciences and Arts in Bosnia and Herzegovina (IANUBIH) and an Ordinary member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, while in 2023 he became a Fellow of the World Academy of Art and Science. In 2023, by the Council of Ministers’ decision, he was appointed as director of the Agency for identification documents, registers, and data exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the mandate 2023 – 2028.

Janos Friss has Master Degree in International Trade from the University of Economics of Budapest. He spent 58 years in various jobs, including diplomatic positions. His professional career always related to business development, trade promotion and sales. Out of these printing-related activities covered 35 years. Janos started with the Jura Group, his present employer, in 2000, as one of the three Jura regional sales directors until 2010.
Since 2010 he is the global sales director for Jura’s Travel Document Business Unit, promoting patented security applications for photo-carrying travel documents.

Director Product Marketing for Government ID
Robert Bach brings more than 25 years of experience in the chip card IC and semiconductor industry, where he has developed a deep understanding of the complex technologies and market trends that shape this field. After completing his university studies with a degree in industrial engineering and management at the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany, he joined the Chip Card & Security IC group of Siemens AG, Germany, in 1996. At Siemens, and subsequently at Infineon Technologies AG, Mr. Bach held various marketing and strategic marketing positions. Currently, he is responsible for semiconductor product marketing in the Product Line 'Identity Solutions' within the Connected Secure Systems (CSS) division at Infineon.

Claudio Kavreciс
Head of Operational Support Systems Unit
Claudio Kavrecic joined Frontex in July 2007 and worked in the Operations Division of Frontex as Head of Air Border Sector, leading external border operations the EU airports until January 2018. Since, he started the Centre of Excellence for Combatting Document Fraud, moving recently to his new role in Frontex. He participates regularly in ICAO, European Commission and INTERPOL meetings related to document and identity fraud. Prior to joining Frontex, he served as Chief of Operations of the Italian Polizia di Stato, leading 200 officers at the Venice border police. His background encompasses police and frontier control, incorporating integrated border management, transnational-criminal investigations, counterterrorism, asylum/refugee management, and international cooperation. He holds a master degree in Political Science/Public Admin (University of Trieste), a post-graduate training at the Police Academy (Rome), and an Executive MBA (Universities of Québec at Montreal - UQAM/Warsaw School of Economics - SGH).
Olga Arnese-Vessere
Former officer of the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia
Olga Arnese-Vessere is a former oficer of the Stae Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia. She retired in 2022 with a major rank and 22 years of experience in document control. The key specialization of Olga Arnese-Vessere within the services was forensic document technical examination and person identification (fingerprints and face comparisons). Olga Arnese-Vessere engaged in multiple Visa Liberalisation Dialogues of the European Union concerning document security and assisted with initiatives executed under the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument of the European Commission. In 2015, Ms. Olga Arnese-Vessere chaired the Frontiers/False Document Working Party of the Council of the European Union. In February 2018, Olga Arnese-Vessere joined the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex). Projects in the Centre of Excellence for Combatting Document Fraud, and later in 2024 promoted to Head of Sector Centre of Excellence for Combatting Document Fraud. In addition to the specialised education, Olga Arnese-Vessere holds a master's degree in human resource management and a European joint master's in strategic border management.
