Since 2012, she is on behalf of the Dutch Government chairing the Strategic Council that is responsible for the Governance and further development of the Dutch eID Trust framework for citizens and business

Claudio joined Frontex in July 2007 and until January 2018 worked in the Operations Division of Frontex as Head of Air Border Sector, where he led operational activities amongst border guards for enhancing the security of the EU external borders – about 130 airports were regularly involved in Frontex Air Border activities at that time. Claudio entered the Italian ‘Polizia di Stato’ in March 1989. He is a Lieutenant Colonel and, prior to joining Frontex, served as Chief of Operations, leading 200 officers at the Venice border police. Claudio’s background encompasses police and frontier control, incorporating integrated border management, transnational criminal investigations, counter terrorism, asylum/refugee management, and international cooperation.He holds a master’s degree in Political Science/Public Administration from the University of Trieste, Italy; completed post-graduate training at the Superior Police Academy in Rome; and graduated with an Executive MBA from the University of Québec at Montreal (UQAM) and the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH)

Mr Branchflower joined New Scotland Yard fingerprint branch in England in 1984 as a trainee fingerprint officer. Qualifying as a fingerprint expert in 1989, in 1990 he became a fingerprint officer with INTERPOL at its headquarters in Lyon France. In his 30 years working with INTERPOL he has participated in many INTERPOL European and International working groups on fingerprint standards, AFIS, training, DVI (disaster victim Identification) and DNA. Currently as Head of the Fingerprint Unit and Face project his main duties are the organisation of INTERPOL fingerprint/face services, managing the organisation of meetings and conferences. Currently Mr Branchflower is involved in several new identification projects involving foreign terrorist fighters, developing regional INTERPOL forensic teams and capacity and developing data sharing of fingerprint and face data between INTERPOL member countries. Increasing the sharing and storing by member countries and making biometrics available to frontline police services is vital to the organisations vision of making the world a safer place.

Currently he is Local Security Officer for EU Laissez-Passer within DG Human Resources and Security, as well as CISA and CISSP certification holder.
